About Us
Florida Drone Force was founded in 2025-2026 by Gary Gross after visiting Sanibel Island following the damage hurricane Ian caused when it struck in 2022. Florida has 1200 miles of shoreline! Our immediate need is to raise money to purchase specialized equipment to outfit as many of our district storage units as we can before the next natural disaster strikes. Additionally, we are actively recruiting drone pilots both FCC part 107certified and those that aren’t but may be working towards it.

Gary Gross, President Florida Drone Force, Inc.
Gary is a 32 year resident of Florida. He is a licensed Commercial Drone pilot with a Private Pilot license along with a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. His engineering and management experience includes serving as a student representative on the Embry-Riddle Board of Directors, membership on the Florida Special Olympics Board of Directors, and leading a team assembling the first Space Shuttle boosters at Kennedy Space Center. He then spent 32 years with Pratt & Whitney, retiring as the International Discipline Chief for Military Engines.
